Current Read: Me and Earl and The Dying Girl

I read this book a few weeks ago and loved it because it’s so different from most YA novels. It is 100% honest and the teenagers act like REAL teenagers. They don’t say overly philosophical things or overcome all of their problems. The main characters seemed so real, which is why it was easy to get into. This book shows a true representation of life, cancer, and high school. There’s no deeply rooted metaphors. There’s still a message to the story however, but it’s one that I found very refreshing. I also think the movie looks amazing and can’t wait to see it. Four/Five stars.
