Poem for a Picture: Cuculus, casablanca, and bones by SeanSoong

Hello everyone! This is a new series I’m starting on my blog. It’s basically what is sounds like; I pick a picture and write a poem about it! This picture by SeanSoong on Deviantart is absolutely beautiful. Here is their page.

This is a silent graveyard

and she is it’s queen.

Memories of men

fill the ashen forest.

She

and she alone

remembers the brave

souls that kept their breasts

warm.

She watches, as the

dusty blue flowers

grow inside their ribs.

Cold beauty,

forgotten empress,

how do you sleep?

Thanks for reading! I’ll try to do a couple of these a week!
